In Midnight Monitor: Anomaly Watch you have no concept of who you are, where you came from, or what you're doing here. All you can see are bars on the windows, the door is locked, and the apartment is bare, but cozy. The only things you can do are receive email messages, and monitor 4 different locations for anomalies, and perhaps earn a few "SEQ Merits" for your time and trouble.
